Mandy Amano became "the face that launched 1,000 websites" after her Pepsi commercial premiered during the Super Bowl. This led to appearances in Maxim, countless online magazines, blogs, and comic books - most notably Shi and Ronin Hood of the 47 Samurai.
A genre girl at heart, some of her favorite roles have been starring as "O", the ultimate modern femme fatale, in the neo-noir thriller Proxy Kill; the fierce and fiery fighter pilot "Oujo" in Squadron; and "Thalia", the little but lethal Black Ops vampire, in Blood Soldiers.
She landed a dream role when Steven Ayromlooi cast her as "Princess Kyoko" opposite the mighty Evan Parke in the film festival/comic con phenom The Sun Devil and The Princess, which racked up a show-stopping 20 awards -- including 2 Best Actress wins for her portrayal of the strong, yet ethereal princess.
Described as "Audrey Hepburn... who could kick your ass" by Shi creator Billy Tucci, Amano’s next adventure is the dream role of “Minako,” the half-Japanese mysterious fiancée to the lovesick Ji-Soo, in Robert Allan Ackerman’s neo-noir dark comedy, KOREATOWN!
Mandy's other passions include All-American Mopar Muscle, French Bulldogs, and kickass boots.
The cause closest to her heart is taking care of veterans, especially the work done by The Heroes Project, Homes for Our Troops, Warriors for Freedom Foundation, Rock to Recovery, Final Salute Inc., Vetpaw, and Heroes & Horses.
Her guilty pleasures are pizza and French fries, but not together -- gross.
She has an extensive (and evergrowing) collection of Yodas, E.T.s, and Groots.
And her dream is to be Princess Leia when she grows up.
